Alejandro S. Cerón was born in Murcia (Spain) in 1985. I studied product design in the “Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño” de Murcia. This world was so huge I didn´t feel ready so I decided to keep studing. I moved to Milan to do a MA in the “Scuola Politecnica Design”.The summer I finish in Milan I when to France to course a Vitra Workshop. After that I had one year experience in two different studios in Murcia, but I wanted more.I moved to Holland (2006) where I did an internship with Richard Hutten in Rotterdam, and another one in Eindhoven with Nacho Carbonell. Nowadays I keep working as a freelance for Nacho an I run my own company-Alejandro Cerón Studio-. I believe in objects as a language, as a way to express, thoughts, feelings, ideas, or sensations. The different paths, options, and troubles during the process when you create an object, join this language. Passion is what feeds the language and the process in order to allow a new project to take form since it´s born till it gets shaped, going through all kind of experiments and curiosities. In this way boredom is prevented, as well as our daily routine. The possibility to create something to nourish our culture or help with it to understand ourselves better makes this a passionate world. |
