I look at the World in a different way. For me the world is a challenge, in which I can create, combine, mutate or alter things that are already there. My observations are the input, and my thoughts are the playground. On this playground in my mind I create the concepts. The concepts are always the start for my works.

My concepts exist out of three parts;

  • the reality/input
  • the pivot point
  • the second reality

    • The pivot point is the creative part where everything is allowed. The second reality is the process before the creation part. A lot of concepts end with the second reality, and will never see daylight. But sometimes I need to work out this second reality! It feels like a natural urge from within, and the real sculptor in me comes out. I think this is because I’m in love with my work.
    The real sculptor in me is somebody that is precise, is raising the bar continuously, and shouts when something doesn’t fit. I create images to inspire other people. When they see my objects, spaces or concepts they will think twice about what they just experienced. My work is a bit strange and odd but so recognisable. Understand the art as it was designed!
