Hanna, a graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven, is from a farm in Iceland and works in Mikligardur Atelier in Hornafjördur, Iceland. As a designer she is interested in flexible and light constructions, objects and landscape, air, water and everything related to that reflection, how we reflect on our surroundings and how the surroundings reflects on us interested in how and what we wear making forms and taking things a part and putting them together she uses what nature has to offer, and reconstructs what is already there again, looking for simplicity, flexibility, lightness and honesty, and not necessarily in this order. among this is writing text (mainly in icelandic) and making video and installation the movement in form looking at forms and shapes from different views, nothing is flat, holes and movements within the objects wanting to see all sides of it, Hanna is a member of the design collective Atelierdorp and a Co-founder of Where In Sweden, a brand of wearable fashion. Hanna founded sevenedges in 2008. Her work, my pressuse, a tactile jewel, that attaches to textile, was presented at Spazio Rossana Orlandi at salone del mobile milano 2009 and published in Vouge living among other media. |
