This stacking chair is specially made for STRIJP-X by Loes Hermes, to be used during fashion shows, presentations, etc. The double seat is based on two ideas; it creates room for your fingers while stacking the chairs and it creates room to put away your notepad or programme. It also strengthens the joint with the leg at the back of the seat. The sharp edges in the design were made possible by waterjet-cutting, a technique mainly used for cutting metal.
The chair is nominated for won the encouragement- and innovation price by the SVM Innovation fund and will be presented during the Woonbeurs 2009 in Amsterdam Rai | 26 sept – 4 oct
