Through internship in sustainable design, crafts practice, and her current position at li edelkoort’s studio as a design trends observer, she is in search of a direction for her professional life as a would-prefer-to-be-good-for-the-world person. With grotesque humour, the nose objects collection shown at the strijp-x pretends to question the references of our daily lives, for nose is the organe of subjective and intuitive sense in one hand, a body part of self-representation in the other hand. Beyond shapes, the collection aims at being a sparkle for thoughts and debates about the olfactive perception. smell, is currently the crucial target of commercial and political organismes, which consider the highest potential of manipulation over people through the primitive trust we grant to odor memory. |
